Winter active

Enjoy your winter ulaub at the Hotel-Gasthof Kröll

Cross-country skiing and skating

In good snow conditions:

A ski track runs through the glittering fairytale landscape and under the boards the snow crunches. Cross-country skiing is sport in the truest sense of the word. Condition and coordination are promoted equally, as are the entire body muscles. Cross-country skiing, in Norway folk sport number one, can not be more beautiful even in the holiday resorts Piesendorf Niedernsill. Our cross-country skiing network is part of the 200 km Pinzga cross-country ski run, which received the highest award last year from the ADAC with five stars.

  • Piesendorf 16.8 miles
  • Niedernsill 9.3 miles
  • Kaprun 11.2 miles
  • Zell am See 40 km
  • Stuhlfelden 15.5 miles
  • Mittersill 24.9 miles
  • Connection to the “Pinzga Loipe”

Tobogganing

Toboggan Arena Wildkogel/Bramberg

With the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world, the arena has another record-breaking highlight. But before you start, you can be transported comfortably to lofty heights by the Emerald Railway in Bramberg with your “hot sledge”. Depending on the snow conditions, the toboggan run is open from Christmas to approx. Open in mid-March.

Opening hours of the toboggan run:

Normally, the driveway is possible until 4.15 p.m.

On Tuesdays and Fridays, an extended ascent with the Emerald Railway in Bramberg is possible until 6.30 p.m.:
Please note that weather is required.

Prices:
Single trip for adults and youth:
€ 12,50, for children: € 6,00
Day ticket tobogganing for adults and young:
€ 31,00, for children: € 15,50

The extended driveways are possible with the day ticket tobogganing. The ski pass price does not include the extended driveways.

On a distance of 14 km, sledgers overcome the incredible difference in altitude of 1,300 to Bramberg. Everything that goes downhill is allowed – whether it’s fast-paced luge, comfortable sledge or sleek bobsleigh. The tobogganing takes about 30 – 50 minutes, depending on your skills.

By the way: The toboggan run is illuminated on the entire length of the route until 10 p.m. – this gives the extra kick at night (absolute closure of the toboggan run at 10 p.m.).

Skiers must also be counted on the toboggan run!
